Overview

Johnson County, IA has adopted the 2009 International Codes, with amendments, including the 2009 IRC and IBC. Johnson County, IA County Code § 8:4-1  (Download Code of Ordinances – Volume Two: Unified Development Ordinance and go to page 159; D for adoptions and page 106; E for amendments.)

While no formal code was located, per their website effective January 1, 2019 the code edition has been updated to 2018.

Johnson County adopted the 2018 IBC, locally. Note that adoptions usually come with amendments. So, it is important to review those amendments in addition to the unamended model code.
