PFAS and Forever Chemicals: Liability Claims and Coverage

Thu August 21 @ 11:00 am - 12:15 pm CDT

Free

Presenter: Charles Browning, Partner at Plunkett Cooney PC

PFAS are a ubiquitous class of substances, as they are found in thousands of products (from pizza boxes to cosmetics to fire-fighting foam). PFAS do not attenuate in the environment, hence the moniker “forever chemicals.” Property damage and bodily injury claims arising from PFAS exposure are increasing exponentially. Insurance coverage issues under historical liability policies abound, and this webinar will provide an in-depth discussion of those coverage issues. After this webinar, attendees will be able to:

  • explain the nature of PFAS and the bases of liability exposures from PFAS;
  • prepare for current and potential future claims from PFAS; and
  • analyze unique and key coverage issues arising from PFAS claims.

CONTINUING EDUCATION APPROVALS: This webinar is NOT YET approved for Adjuster CE credit. No attorney MCLE credit is available for this webinar.
