Adjusters who handle National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) claims must have a current certification. The Property & Liability Resource Bureau and the National Flood Insurance Program have teamed up to make the two-part certification program available at the 2016 Claims Conference.
"National Flood Insurance Certification: Part I and Part II" are being offered on Wednesday, April 20. The sessions will be taught by two key NFIP claims officials. James A. Sadler, CPCU, AIC, is Special Assistant to the Director, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Arlington, Virginia, and Donald Waters, an Insurance Examiner, FEMA, Arlington.

In order to earn the "NFIP Flood Insurance Program Certification" attendees must complete both Part I and Part II.
"National Flood Insurance Certification: Part I and Part II" is one of the professional development topics offered at the Property & Liability Resource Bureau's 2016 Claims Conference, April 17 to 20, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. Registration is open to property and casualty insurance professionals who work for insurance companies.
The PLRB Claims Conference will offer 100 property and casualty claims topics for the continued professional development of claims adjusters. Many of the educational sessions will be approved for adjuster continuing education credit.
As part of the Claims Conference, the 2016 Insurance Services Expo will be held Monday, April 18 and Tuesday, April 19 in the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. Nearly 300 exhibitors will be there with products and services to assist insurers in providing claims services to policyholders.
The Expo showcases skilled national and regional providers of property and casualty adjustment and restoration services, such as claims management software. Attendees are invited to enjoy a complimentary lunch in the Expo hall on both Monday and Tuesday of the Conference. They will have an opportunity to enhance their professional development by connecting with a large network of subject matter experts and industry partners during the lunch break.
