Ride & House Sharing: Liability Coverage

PLRB Claims Conference
April 17 to 20, 2016

"Knowledge Unlocks Opportunities"

The growing trend of supplementing income through sharing rides and renting a residence has become increasingly popular. It has also created new and interesting insurance issues, some of which will be explored at the 2016 Claims Conference, April 17 to 20, during one of the over two dozen casualty campus sessions.

"Ride & House Sharing: Liability Coverage," presented by Jonathan Schwartz, JD, Partner, Goldberg Segalla, Chicago, Illinois, will be offered on Tuesday, April 19 and Wednesday, April 20.

The Property & Liability Resource Bureau 2016 Claims Conference will be held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio. Registration is open to property and casualty insurance professionals who work for or represent insurance companies.

At the conclusion of "Ride & House Sharing: Liability Coverage", attendees will be able to:

  • Describe trends toward sharing rides and homes;
  • Identify relevant auto and homeowners liability insurance coverage provisions;
  • Illustrate liability exposures and assess insurance coverage issues; and
  • Survey legislation and regulations affecting various sharing activities.

The Casualty Campus features professional development for casualty adjusters with sessions facilitated by insurance professionals.

The PLRB Claims Conference will offer over 100 property and casualty claims topics for the continued professional development of claims adjusters. Many of the sessions will be approved for adjuster continuing education credit.

The 2016 Insurance Services Expo will be held Monday, April 18 and Tuesday, April 19 in the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. Nearly 300 exhibitors will exhibit with products and services to assist insurers in providing claims services to policyholders.

The Expo showcases skilled national and regional providers of property and casualty adjustment and restoration services, such as accident reconstruction. Attendees are invited to enjoy a complimentary lunch with the exhibitors on both Monday and Tuesday of the conference. They will have an opportunity to enhance their professional development by connecting with a large network of subject matter experts and industry partners during the lunch break.
