"Knowledge Unlocks Opportunities"
Attracting a new generation of claims professionals is one of today's objectives for claims executives. The 2016 Claims Conference keynote address will address that challenge during the General Session, April 18, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Jason Dorsey, Chief Strategy Officer at the Center for Generational Kinetics, will address "Crossing the Generational Divide in Insurance" to open the conference. This timely topic is of interest and importance to the claims professionals attending the Claims Conference, as the entire claims industry prepares to welcome tomorrow's claims leaders.
Adjusters today work in a time of unprecedented generational challenge and change. There is plenty of misinformation about generational differences. Dorsey will clear the air with facts.
He will discuss how strategies that work for one generation can fail for others. That is important information for the current generation of claims leaders. Dorsey will provide surprising data, share first-hand stories, and provide some step-by-step actions that will help claims leaders improve claims adjusting outcomes, as well as communicate with, engage, and recruit a new generation of claims professionals.
The 2016 Property & Liability Resource Bureau Claims Conference, April 17 to 20, is the nation's largest property and casualty adjuster education event. Over 3,000 are expected to attend.
"The role of the property and casualty insurance adjuster demands nearly continuous learning," said Scott Powell, Vice President, Educational and Technical Services, PLRB. "The Claims Conference sessions are presented by nationally-recognized experts in their field. New and updated information is provided to help the adjusters remain current with the demands of today's market place."
Claims Conference attendees are encouraged to arrive early for the General Session for a complimentary breakfast and to hear Jason Dorsey explain why Gen Y doesn't like vowels and the one tool Baby Boomers never leave home without.
