"Knowledge Unlocks Opportunities"

The 2016 Claims Conference offers over two dozen casualty campus sessions. The Casualty Campus features professional development for casualty adjusters with sessions facilitated by insurance professionals.

One of the available sessions is "Emerging CGL Risks: Coverage Strategies and Solutions," presented by Larry Mason, JD, Senior Shareholder, Segal McCambridge Singer, Chicago, Illinois, and Crystal Uebelher, JD, Claims Attorney, SECURA Insurance Companies, Appleton, Wisconsin.

The Property & Liability Resource Bureau 2016 Claims Conference will be held April 17 to 20 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio. Registration is open to property and casualty insurance professionals who work for or represent insurance companies.

At the conclusion of "Emerging CGL Risks: Coverage Strategies and Solutions", attendees will be able to:

  • Identify new and emerging risks that CGL insurers should be prepared to adjust;
  • Analyze liability policy language relevant to adjusting those emerging risks;
  • Explore how courts may resolve coverage disputes involving emerging risks; and
  • Discover proactive strategies for effective claims resolution of emerging CGL risks claims.

The PLRB Claims Conference will offer over 100 property and casualty claims topics for the continued professional development of claims adjusters. Many of the sessions will be approved for adjuster continuing education credit.

The 2016 Insurance Services Expo will be held Monday, April 18 and Tuesday, April 19 in the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. Nearly 300 exhibitors will exhibit with products and services to assist insurers in providing claims services to policyholders.

The Expo showcases skilled national and regional providers of casualty adjustment and restoration services, such as accident reconstruction. Attendees are invited to enjoy a complimentary lunch in the Expo hall on both Monday and Tuesday of the conference. They will have an opportunity to enhance their professional development by connecting with a large network of subject matter experts and industry partners during the lunch break.
