Adjuster Professional Development at PLRB Eastern Regional Adjusters Conference

November 15 & 16, 2016

Richmond, Virginia

Adjusters are continuing their professional development at the PLRB Eastern Regional Adjusters Conference November 15 and 16. This is the final PLRB Regional Adjusters Conference this year.

The Conference opens today, in the Marriott Hotel in Richmond, Virginia, with a keynote presentation "The Power of Knowledge: Investing in Yourself" by Timothy Cook, Director for the Risk and Insurance Studies Center at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Conference attendees will attend sessions in both the property and casualty lines of insurance. For example, "Art and Heirloom Claim Handling" is one of the many breakout sessions that will be available for property adjusters continuing education, while "Additional Insured Liability and Contractual Indemnity Coverage" will be available for casualty adjusters. General interest topics will also be available, such as " Customer Strategies for Success."

Adjuster continuing education credit will be available at no cost for adjusters licensed in Delaware, Florida, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, and Texas. The sessions have been approved for 13 hours of continuing education by the Society of RPA, and 12 CPCU points under section PD9.

The Eastern Regional Insurance Services Expo will be open both Tuesday, November 15 and Wednesday, November 16. Claims service providers from Virginia, the southeastern region, as well as nationally based companies will be in the Expo hall to tell attendees what's new to assist them in managing their claims files.

A complementary lunch will be served in the Expo hall both days.
