PLRB Distance Learning Modules Heavily Used in 2014

58 Adjuster CE Approved Modules Available

Tens of thousands of property and casualty adjusters have continued their professional development by successfully completed Distance Learning Modules available from the Property and Liability Resource Bureau.  There have been more than 59,000 successful completions of modules by adjusters since the program began.

A total of 58 adjuster CE approved PLRB Distance Learning Modules were available as of December 31, 2014, for the professional development of PLRB member company adjusters.  The modules, which last about two hours each, are available for no fee.

Nearly 10,000 adjusters logged on, successfully completed a Distance Learning Module in 2014, and requested adjuster continuing education credit.  Texas was in first place with over 5,000 adjuster CE requests.  Not all adjusters request the CE credit.  In 2014 there were another 4,500 who successfully completed modules, but requested no CE credit.

The modules with the most adjuster CE completers were:

  Ethics for Claims Professionals

  Accident Scene Investigation

  Basic Casualty Claim Handling

  Animal Liability

The Distance Learning Module program is a dynamic, ever-growing service of the PLRB.  In 2014, PLRB introduced five new modules.

Intentional Versus Negligent Conduct for Casualty Adjusters

Settling Multiple Claims with Insufficient Policy Limits

Interplay between Business Interruption, Extra Expense, and Property Damage

  Settlement of Conflicts

  Splitting Casualty Claim Files

Distance Learning Certificate Program
